Strangely I have been giving out Breakup advice to several of my friends lately.  Not one, not two, but at least three of my friends that I know of (and maybe more) have been going through the painful process of breaking up after being with someone for several years. 

Perhaps this is the antithesis of the other trend of this summer, which is starting to see more and more close friends getting married.  I suppose there are seasons for everything.

you feel like they are all a bit too ___
in awe of you whenever something intelligent forms
they listen and linger on your face

to be so very accepted at hello
and you should be careful
to think they are being disingenuous
and am I the loudest one in the room

then, I am a hopeless case

I added two photos (taken just today) of me and my ukulele to my music page. With the help of the Internet, it can be a joy to pick up a well-tuned ukulele and thrum out a few tunes. Its so nice, especially on a lazy pre-Summer Sunday afternoon.
