* My cover song was accepted for that French compilation. I have no information yet.

* A photo of mine was requested for use on the web site for a charity in the UK, A.Y.M.E. which stands for the Association of Young people with ME. It’s a chronic illness which can leave people bed or house bound for months or years. They have had a donation of a ton of sunflower seeds and are going to be making these available to housebound young persons with the disease, so that they can watch the flowers grow. *Strange that this should occur a mere few hours after a long lunchtime discussion about doing good for others.

Tonight I forgot my wallet, all of my identification, and my FIT student ID, so I started to freak out a little bit. I didn’t want to be kept from attending class, since security was a little tight last week, and they had insisted on having identification at the front desk (being an ex-R.A., maybe I take these things too seriously). Anyway, I got the desk and was very apologetic about forgetting my wallet–the only thing I had was a card showing my blood type with my name spelled out in type. The woman carefully wrote me out a visitors pass and then took a scrap of paper and wrote this (spelling inclusive) very slowly and meaningfully:

I have the armor of Strenght
I am Not Stress
Glory to God

She handed me the pass, and the slip of paper and gave me a most kind smile.

Portraits are of my boyfriend Rory, who runs prize pony, and attends grad school at NYU. He’s wearing a thrifted vest, a borrowed shirt, and a thrifted bow-tie neither of us knows how to work. I keep spare change in the skull, which we got at Target around Halloween this year.

These are my pets. Dexter is getting up there in age for a hamster, and Ruby is going to be about a year old soon. I think these photos capture each personality to a ‘t’.

Scanned from a thrifted yearbook.

This goes well along with what I’ve been watching this afternoon. Lots of Kathryn Kuhlman, Lonee Frisbee, Larry Norman. Looking up churches that meet in bars in Brooklyn, too. Don’t ask.

My camera is broken and I am afraid of the cost to clean and repair it. I’m not sure where I can get a good, honest deal on this in New York City. Kevin and I went to B&H Photo in Manhattan a few weeks ago, expecting that this mecca would give me the wisest answer, but it turns out that they do not do repair and nor do they have a company they work with that they could reccomend to me.

Hi, hello. I’ve been blogging elsewhere about all sorts of things: finances, my job, school, art classes, losing weight, cooking and sewing. None of those thoughts belong here. I’ve been otherwise busy changing careers, taking drawing classes at the local high school at night, and finished recording a new song, which I will be posting… soon.

Cheers, regards, salud.
